The third instalment of NCSOFT’s “FEVER MUSIC 2020 COOL Summer Project” is out!

As expressed last week, I wasn’t a fan of part 2, “Destiny | 운명,” mainly because of its lyrics (even if the melody and voices were fun and catchy). Opposite of that, this week’s release of “Sorrow” or “애상” featuring VIXX’s Ravi, Red Velvet’s Yeri and UP10TION’s Kim WooSeok is fun and with more appropriate lyrics.

COOL’s original 1998 song is about being hooked on someone who, even though reciprocates feelings, doesn’t have time for love because they’re so busy with work — a storyline I am familiar with all-too-well.

The remake’s music video is cute in delivering the story behind the lyrics, with Yeri wanting to be with WooSeok but him not having enough time for her. While Yeri feels ignored, she spends time with Ravi, who then starts catching feelings for Yeri. In the end, we all know who ends up together, right? It’s Korean Drama 101. If you don’t know the answer, watch the video until the end and let the story unfold before your eyes.

With three songs out for the project to help overcome the difficult COVID Era, NCSOFT has yet to release one more cover of COOL’s iconic classics.

Check out the music video release for “Sorrow” below!

Who will feature in the fourth and last part of the project?
